Frijole Disaster!

My Mexican neighbour Yaneli showed me how to make frijoles (black beans) Mexican style this morning. She brought over the black beans and pressure cooker. Everthing was set to go with the black beans in the pressure cooker. The instructions she left me with were, wait 30 mins, turn the stove off and then come and get me. I waited 30 mins, turned the stove off, and waited till the steam blew off...and then I decided to take the little top off! Yaneli came to the recue. We managed to rescue the frijoles...but what a mess! Ma voisine mexicaine, Yaneli, est venue ce matin pour me montrer comment faire les fameux frijoles (haricot noir) mexiacain. Elle a apporter les haricots noirs et sa cocotte minute. Tout était prêt avec les haricots noirs dans la cocotte minute. Elle m'a dit d'attendre 30 min, d'éteinder le feu et venir la chercher pour la prochaine étape. J'ai attendu 30 min., éteins le feu, j'ai attendu jusqu'à temps que la vapeur soit diminuée...et ensuite j'ai décidé d'enlever le petit bout! Yaneli est venus a mon secour, on a pu récupérer les frijoles sans problème, mais quel dégat!
