Son Jarochos!
It's been a long time since I last wrote...but come on, give me a break, Manu and I had a wedding to plan for August, since then we have been RELAXING!!!
Manu is off on a business trip...he was in Paris and now in Marroco.
So, tonight, I went out on the town with my friend Jim who invited me go to a Son Jarocho concert. What's that, you may ask? It's traditional folk music from the south of Veracruz.
It was FANTASTIC! It brought tears of joy to my eyes. All the members of the La Fabula group were smiling and full of energy. There was singing, dancing accompanied by cello, double bass, accordion, requintos (guitar like instrument)...you would love it!
Have a listen on the group's website:

And if you are in Mexico City on a Saturday night, go and have a listen at this cultural centre. For 100 pesos, you get to hear awesome music, and at intermission you are treated to a delicous Mexican snack of molletes accompanied by a cafe de olla. Definitely yummy.
